Personal Statement

I am a Senior Lecturer and an experienced Public Health Pharmacist with over 20 years of experience in pharmacy practice, clinical research, and teaching. My research focuses on non-communicable diseases, global health, and health systems. My core areas of specialization include chronic disease management, particularly Type 2 Diabetes and breast cancer medication adherence, lifestyle modification, and digital health innovations. I am skilled in generating real-world evidence, conducting mixed-methods research, and developing predictive models to enhance health outcomes. My work centers on understanding the socio-cultural, behavioral, and clinical factors affecting treatment adherence, especially among African populations, and designing evidence-based, patient-centered interventions to address these challenges
