Lecturer II

Personal Statement

I am an academic researcher with a commitment to advancing pharmacy practice and health systems in Nigeria. My research focuses on the intersection of medicines use, patient education, and health policy, particularly examining how written medicine information (WMIs) influences patient knowledge and adherence. I am interested in how pharmacist-led interventions and prescription models can improve outcomes in community and primary healthcare settings. My recent work investigates the socio-demographic factors shaping patients’ engagement with WMIs in Southwest Nigeria. I aim to contribute evidence that informs national policy and strengthens the integration of pharmacists in Nigeria’s evolving healthcare landscape. With a background in teaching and field-based research, I bring a strong foundation in both academic inquiry and community engagement. I am seeking opportunities to collaborate on multidisciplinary research that addresses health literacy, policy implementation, and pharmaceutical care innovation in low and middle income countries.
