Personal Statement

Prof. A. E. Joda is a Professor of Clinical Pharmacy with specialization in pharmacy practice and rational use of drugs. She is passionate about developing the next generation of pharmacists that will be well grounded in the application of the principles of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice in ensuring and assuring positive outcomes for patients within a functional and functioning multidisciplinary team. She is a systems thinker, healthcare development advocate and is always eager to contribute her quota towards the improvement of projects or tasks she is involved in. Prof. Joda is a hard worker, a creative and innovative professional and is able to adapt to different personality types in order to ensure that the team accomplishes its tasks within approved timelines. She brings over 21 years of dedicated service as a lecturer, facilitator, researcher in operations, health systems, pharmacy practice and public health and in service to the various communities she has had the opportunity to interact with. As a focused player in the healthcare delivery system she strives to shape the pharmacy landscape through education, research, and innovative practices while inspiring curiosity and excellence in students, and junior colleagues/practitioners thus fostering a legacy of compassionate care.
